The grass always seems greener in the other side. Also seems like we can never fully appreciate something until we’ve lost it. There’s just too much crap in front of our eyes the whole time that we can’t see all the beauty, all the good, that surrounds us every day of our lives.

We are blessed to have, and take part, in the life we all too often take for granted. Life truly is what you make of it. And we should never regret our past or worry about the future. To enjoy and appreciate life, we have to let go.

It was very nice of you to drop by, Michael. Hopefully, it wasn’t the last time. Love your theme, so simple, clean and sophisticated.

I hope you’ll enjoy your stay in Hawaii. Don’t let regrets blind you, you might just end up having the greatest time of your life.

I recently moved to Hawaii for a new job, starting my career. I was 17 at the time, I just turned 18. I left my friends and my amazing girlfriend behind. I think to myself all day long, every day, “Why am I doing this?”

Before moving here, I hated my life in LA. I hated living at home, I hated everything, I was excited to begin a new life in paradise, doing what I love. But, then I met the girl of my dreams, and we only had two months together before I began my life here.

Now I take everything I once had for granted. I miss high school, I miss homework, I miss all of my friends, I miss my girlfriend, I miss my lame parents and my lame house.

But, I tell myself all the time, that this is what is best. I am beginning my career, earning good money, and making a name for myself. It isn’t permanent, and eventually I’ll be heading back to LA.

It is tough heading to a new place.

We worry because we’re afraid. If you really except it, whatever it is, there’s no longer a need to worry about it. Worry is merely a state of mind induced by fear. You will never achieve anything by worrying, that you couldn’t have achieved without.

We worry because we care. It’s something else to worry and be able to accept it…and sometimes there’s a reason, a need for us to question things, to look a little closer at the fine print. We worry because we need to. If we didn’t, we’d all be bums that just sit around all day until evolution weeds us out. It’s an internal drive, but is also a double-edged sword. As long as you use your worries instead of letting them use you, then chin up!…life’s great. =)
